About

Anirudh Sharma is the MIT Technology Review 35 under 35 Innovator, Forbes 30 under 30, Awardee, and the Founder of Graviky Labs.  His company Graviky, is addressing the air-pollution problem by treating it as a waste-management problem and developing novel materials and leading industry-shift around them.

He loves problem-solving and builds novel technology which has a large social-economic-protest impact and narratives. He uses Augmented/ Mixed Reality, art, cybernetics, wearables, and materials to create new impactful concepts, that question the conventional way of solving problems.

After having spent multiple years at MIT his passion for design-led innovation brought him back to India, where he led the MIT Media Lab India Initiative with the goal of remodeling and perpetuating self-organized design-led innovation into the country’s grassroots.

Prior to the MIT Media Lab, his past venture Ducere, made athletic tracking wearable computers embedded within shoes (First ever wearable tech startup in India, 2009). The shoe was started as a navigation aid for the visually impaired.

Anirudh graduated from the Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT Media Lab, at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I worked on ‘Augmented Reality/2D/3D using transparent OLED displays’. [1][2][3].

Before that, worked at Imagin Group, at Hewlett Packard Labs, an intuitive multimodal speech+ touch based CAD interface for large displays. The prototype ‘MozArt’ is a permanent installation at HP Innovation Center at Zurich and Dubai.

Anirudh loves magic. In other universe, he’s probably undergoing an apprenticeship with some sorcerer.
